What’s On Your October Calendar?

on target

Thought I’d drop a short post here to tell you what I’m up to for October. It’s going to be a busy month, which means there will be much to read here and on my other blog which I’ve been neglecting lately.

See I’ve joined two more challenges this month.

First is the Article Writing Challenge, sponsored by Bonnie Gean. Bonnie’s website is one of my favorite resources and she started the Facebook challenge out with a bang on the first of October. I can tell you there won’t be any room for slacking off with Bonnie around to kick our butts into action. Her first task for us was to tweak our “About” pages. I thought mine was okay until I reread it once again so I made a few changes, you can check it out here.

Then she suggested that we sign up for a free account at http://about.me. I had never heard of this site but it is fabulous. If you don’t have an account on about.me, I encourage you to do so today, here’s a look at me. http://about.me/marilyn.thompson

My main post for today will be published this afternoon and is based on things you probably didn’t know about me. I’m not so good about talking about myself so maybe it’ll be more than you want to know about me but I hope you’ll enjoy enough to share a comment so I can get to know you.

The second challenge is called the Ultimate Blog Challenge. I’m unfamiliar with the gals sponsoring this challenge but the community looks fabulous and I can just tell that it will be a great learning experience. It was recommended by a new acquaintance I’ve found through the last challenge and someone you should know too, Misty Spears. Click her name to visit her blog.

The blog I’ve been neglecting is called “Positively You Can” and is focused on helping you be the best “You” that you can be. Sounds silly I know but think about it, no one can be you better than you. And I say that because we all have something unique to offer.

What we do may be similar to others, our businesses may be similar, or niches may be similar, but the point is that everyone has the ability to put their own spin on their work and make it unique. I’d love for you to visit – Positively You Can.

Another focus this month is Halloween which is creeping up sooner than you may be aware. My Halloween site is coming along nicely, if I do say so myself. It is called Simply Spooktacular and covers all things Halloween – costumes, decorations, props, tips, recipes, and more. Check it out here – Simply Spooktacular.

So that’s what’s on my calendar for October, what’s on yours?
