What Do You See In Your Mind’s Eye?

visualizeCreate the Ability to Visualize

Visualization is one of the most important skills you’ll ever learn. This is the ability to create a vivid picture in your mind of what you want to accomplish, a picture of the way you want things to be.

This is part 4 of a 5 part series.

I have always tried to do this but it wasn’t until I was no longer working for a boss, that I began to actually do this. In those days it was more of visualizing a dream not a reality.

You should be able to see your success in clear detail, right down to the emotions you’ll be feeling. Practice this daily to keep yourself moving in the right direction. You need to be able to visualize a plan so that you can take action.

Small action plans and major strategies need to be seen in the mind’s eye before they can be written out and executed. They need to be felt and rationalized. Part of visualization is goal setting and knowing where you want to go. Clearly defined and written goals are essential to succeed in business.

Failure to set goals will result in chaos and ultimate failure. Don’t try to go with the flow all the time – have the discipline to visualize your goals and then put them in writing.

Visualization is a learned skill that you can acquire with practice. So if it doesn’t come easy to you don’t worry – over time you’ll get better at it.

success key in handHow do I visualize? I literally picture how I want my day to go and I write it down. Sometimes, I’ll admit I get distracted and it is this list that will help bring me back on task.

I’m always coming up with new ideas for blogs and websites, and I’ll start wandering down that path, but my list of goals will help get back on my visualized path.

All it takes is me referring back to my visualized goal – waking up, having breakfast, exercising, and getting to work on my blogs, my writing, in essence, my business. I try to finish this list so that I can enjoy my evening with my husband – and I quickly nix the idea for the moment of creating more than I can successfully handle.

So – What is your visualization?
