1928 – Actor Adam West, TV’s “Batman”
1933 – Actor David McCallum, character Illya Kuryakin in TVs “The Man from Uncle”.
1950 – Joan Lunden, an American journalist and host of ABC’s Good Morning America
1974 – Jimmy Fallon, comedian and current host of the Tonight Show

Events September 19th

1876 – Melville R. Bissell of Grand Rapids, Michigan patented the carpet sweeper.
1893 – New Zealand is the first country to grant all its women the right to vote
1928 – “Steamboat Willie,” the first animated cartoon talking picture starring Mickey Mouse, was shown at the Colony Theatre in New York.
1970 – The Emmy-award winning comedy series, The Mary Tyler Moore Show aired for the first time on television.
1983 – The final episode of “M*A*S*H” aired in a special 2½-hour program.
