    Now you’re scaring me – change the database information? How exactly would we do that? I try to avoid messing with the server files except to upload a freebie product.

  3. After several of our sites got hit during the brute force attacks, I started using the plugin called Wordfence. So far, it’s doing very well.

  4. You can also change the database information to help secure the blog as well. Don’t use the default wp_ for the database. Change it to something else that’s harder to guess!

    I never use admin for login – that’s asking for trouble!

  5. Great article Marilyn. I use the limit login plugin and change my passwords often as well. I’ve been using the managewp service as well so changing it is no sweat and I don’t have to remember anything.
