Fab Friday Blog Share and Three Things I Completed Today

Fab FridayThis edition of the Fab Friday Blog Share and most likely the next three will include a topic called “Three Things I Completed Today”. You see this month I’m participating in an article writing challenge with a fantastic Facebook group I’m in and that is the topic for our Friday blog content.

Sure I could change things up a bit and use that topic on another day but why try swimming upstream? I’ll just add it into my blog post routine because I’m adaptable and well, I’m not a swimmer.

So let’s see – Three Things I Completed Today

Now since it’s somewhat early in the day there’s not too much that I’ve completed but I’ll give it a shot.

Morning Walk

Boomer 2Each day we take our dog, Boomer, for a walk after his breakfast and dinner, it’s something he looks forward to rain or shine. Typically Boomer’s papa handles the after breakfast and I handle the after dinner but papa left for work at 4am today.

I didn’t mind today though as it was a beautiful spring morning, the air was crisp and the birds were singing. We walked 1.5 miles of my daily 5 mile goal because that’s about Boomer’s limit these days, he’s right around 13. You probably guessed that’s our gorgeous boy in the picture. What a wonderful way to start the day!

Watered the Garden

You know I like the quietness of early mornings, it’s rather relaxing. We planted a vegetable garden mid-May and it’s coming along nicely. Hubby gets the tough job of tilling the soil and prepping the patch so the least I can do is manage the weeds and a bit of watering. So this morning the beans, carrots, beets, peppers, lemon cucumber, Brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, sweet onions, tomatoes, and squash had a good drink. Oh yeah, the lettuce and herb planters as well.

Wrapped Up the Newsletter

Then with the completion of this post I wrapped up this week’s edition of my newsletter Dreams on Target which will arrive in your email in-box Monday morning if you’re one of my very wise subscribers. If you haven’t taken a moment to subscribe – you can do so below this post or over there to the right.

When you do you’ll also win the honor of making me very happy. The topic this week is a slight detour from my usual motivational business focus shifting my commentary to Seattle’s new $15 per hour minimum wage. You won’t want to miss it and who knows you may possibly want to send me a comment or two.

  6. Boomer is too cute. He looks like a cocker spaniel. Is that what he is? I’ve always loved cockers. They’re just so friendly and have such sweet personalities. Love the non-IM post today, not that I don’t love your IM posts. 😉 It’s just cool to see a bit about your ordinary life. 😀

    • Yes Avery, he’s an English Cocker, they’re a bit larger than the American Cockers, and yes they do have sweet and loving personalities. If you ever want a dog to follow you like a shadow, adopt an English Cocker Spaniel.
      Thanks!

  7. I chose not to do the Challenge topic today because I hadn’t hit my online tasks for the day due to travel and I thought any other content would be trite. You just inspired me to change that thought given you’ve written so well about non-IM stuff! Cheers 🙂
