Desk Exercises Anyone Can Do

fat, dumb, and happyAs bloggers we all face tremendous health risks by sitting at our desks for far too many hours of the day. We know that it’s important to get up and move around but I venture to say that if you’re like me, you don’t get up often enough. Unless you have one of those treadmill desks, you probably sit far too long. I’ve started walking more during the day and drinking a lot of water which they say is the healthy thing to do. Plus it does make you get up more to use the bathroom. : ) But unless we follow through on ways to actual get up off our behinds, we are not getting enough exercise. So that’s why I decided to share a couple videos with you today that provide quick step by step instruction for exercising and getting fit while at your desk.

FAST Desk Workout – At Work Exercises that WORK!

This video focuses on good posture and stretching, stretching the neck and back and exercising your abs, arms, and legs. I’m trying to do these a couple times during the day to get myself moving.

I really like this and believe me your inactive muscles will certainly let you know that you got up and moving. Abby demonstrates chair squats, crunches, arm pumps, rolling arm presses, and stretches.

  1. I am a desk excerciser! In fact on top of working out with my desk I also tape up those challenges, like the Ab Challenge, the Squat challenge, etc and I do a new one each month. They can easily be done in my office…and yes I have gotten on the floor for some situps. My boss thinks I’m nuts but hey it works!
