Blog Success Forecaster Review

I discovered an interesting little program the other day and decided I would document using it as I went along so that I could share my impressions with you here. The name of the product is Blog Success Forecaster and as the name implies, its purpose is to help you determine if your blog will be a success.

No there’s no crystal ball or gypsy fortune teller that comes forward. Instead it’s more about helping you understand the necessary components of a successful blog.

The Blog Success Forecaster was created by Mary Jaksch. I wasn’t familiar with Mary but her bio credits her as an author, the owner of websites “Write to Done” and “Good Life Zen”, co-owner of A-List Blogger Club, holding a black belt in karate, and residing in New Zealand.

As Mary states in her Welcome letter, Blog Success Forecaster isn’t simply a product where you watch videos and read articles, you actually have to do something. Now I like that because the chances are good that this won’t simply be yet another item to fill space on your hard drive. [Read more…]

Is Your Comment Box Hiding?

where do I commentDo you pay much attention to the comment box on your blog? You do have one right? As I read a number of assorted blogs, I’m often surprised with the appearance or lack of comment boxes. Most are very easy to find and access whereas others are rather small, require code deciphering, and have far too many hoops to jump through.

Personally I tend to only leave comments when I can do so quickly and easily. If you make me work to leave a comment, well I simply click away. Sorry, but I do and I’d venture to say, so do other readers.

You work hard on your blog posts. It’s not always easy to come up with catchy headlines, write content that speaks to your audience, and inspires your readers to comment. So when you find that winning combination make it easy for your readers to converse with you. [Read more…]

Introspection on Writing

why I writeToday I’m taking a bit of a detour from the weekly Fab Friday Blog Share that typically runs each Friday. Quite a coincidence isn’t it. Never fear though, the Blog Share will be back next week right on schedule.

Recently I was asked by a blogging and business friend of mine, Misty Spears, to join in a Writer’s Blog Hop. Until her request I had not heard of a Blog Hop but it’s terrific. It’s a great way to find new acquaintances and a great way to introduce my audience to a couple of new writers/bloggers.

The goal is to answer four questions about your writing which proved to be an interesting journey. If you’re like me, I don’t really spend time thinking about my style of writing or why I write – it has somewhat simply evolved. So make yourself comfortable as I share a bit of my writing soul and it would be ever so grand if you left a comment or two.

Okay, time to get hopping! [Read more…]
